104 S tartups have hit the road.Very important tasks for truck drivers and transport companies now have technological solutions to save everyone time and money, all at more affordable prices. These are autotechs. In a study of this sector in Brazil, Liga Ventures, in partnership with the consultancy Lunica, analyzed a total of 5,420 startups in the second half of 2017. They identified 193 autotechs, 28% of them focused on logistics and transportation. Currently these companies offer freight management and quotation solutions, fleet management, last-mile delivery, reverse logistics, deliveries, tracking, routing and trucking solutions (search, allocation and cargo management for heavy vehicles). The situation in Brazil encourages entrepreneurs, according to Daniel Grossi, co-founder of Liga Ventures. He says road transport, the main mode of cargo transport in the country, has an extensive road network but a lot of infrastructure problems. The study shows that logistics costs in Brazil are equivalent to approximately 12.7% of GDP, which corresponds to approximately R$ 749 billion.Transport is the main factor in this cost, with 6.8% of GDP (R$ 401 billion).
